Personal Statement:

Monique T. Searight, MSN, PMHNP-BC is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, with training and experience in treating adult patients with psychiatric disorders across practice settings, which includes: hospitals, long-term care facilities, and outpatient clinics. Some of her practice specialties include (but are not limited to) ADHD, Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar, and Schizophrenia. She has been a psychiatric nurse for over 10 years. Her education includes a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Gwynedd Mercy University, and a Master of Science in Nursing, (Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner specialization), from Drexel University.

Monique's style of practice can be traditional, like prescribing up-to-date psychiatric medications. or alternative medicine such as natural treatments including but not limited to vitamins, supplements, lifestyle modification like diet, exercise, etc. She believes in the mind/body/spiritual connection, with emphasis on how we are made up as a whole person and not a series of parts.

Monique strongly believes that medications assist greatly during recovery but are not all inclusive. She strongly encourages counseling/ therapy in order to obtain a new perspective, to learn new coping skills and to assist with processing past life events.
